Brief Biography: Graupner was a harpsichordist and composer of high baroque. He played the harpsichord in the orchestra of the Hamburg Opera before becoming the court chapel master of the orchestra at Hesse-Darmstadt. Graupner composed music for almost half a century before he became blind.
