Brief Biography: Platti was trained as a singer, oboist and violinist in Italy. He was amongst the first to play and compose for the recently invented fortepiano. Platti moved to Würzburg in Germany in 1722 to work in the court of the prince-bishop Johann Philipp Franz von Schönborn.
