Brief Biography: Scott, best known for his still-life abstract painting, is the most celebrated Ulster painter of the 20th century. In 1927 he joined the Royal Academy of Art in London and shared a flat with two Welshmen, Alfred Janes and Dylan Thomas. He served in the Royal Engineers’ map-making section.
